Automatic Vowel Formant Measurement in Diverse Child Speech

This project explores tools for automatic formant measurement and examines how well these tools perform on diverse pediatric speech. Three tools, Voweltine, Fast Track, and SpeechMark, are compared on vowel productions from children of color, children with speech sound disorders, and children with intersectional identities.

Treatment for Vowel Productions in Childhood Apraxia of Speech

This research project uses acoustic and auditory-perceptual methods to study the effects of motor-based intervention on vowel productions in young children with childhood apraxia of speech.

Early Identification of Childhood Apraxia of Speech

This project bridges the gap between researchers and clinicians by scientifically documenting the perspectives, beliefs, and practices of early intervention speech-language pathologists when diagnosing and treating childhood apraxia of speech in children under three.
